The motortopia site is a little difficult to navigate.......So I don't go there alot.Your car looks great too.I"m running a 76 TA 400 in my car! But soon I will have a balanced and built 1971 455 over 400+ hp.I can't wait.I have a 308 rearend now.But soon I will have a 373 Posi.It will be a totally different BEAST!! lol
Tuff65 wrote:Motortopia is confusing for me.....If you tried some of the others you would understand.I like the site.I just find it to be confusing.Cardomain is alot easier to use,for me.
I'm not sure why you are talking about your air filter......As far as the changes on my car. They have been paid for for a very long time as well.My Father is the BEST mechanic I know.I paid him back in 2000 to build me a 455.He is just now about finished. He has,and always will have too many irons in the fire.I do most of my own mechanicing. But my Father is FAR better than I will ever be! I always have him build my engines. He is Awesome!

I do most the mechanicing on my car too! My father says I could do it all.I just lack the Self confidence.I know that somethings I would screw up.And they would end up costing me three times what they should to fix.My Dad says that's how you learn.Well I don't have tons of money either. So I pay him to do those things I'm not real sure of.
Tuff65 wrote:Yeah I like those shows. But I could never afford to do most of the stuff they do.They make $5000.00 sound like it's just pocket money. But I still learn from the shows. And I find them interesting...
but it is far from the Operating Room these Shows have, all the while touting projects damn few if any of the people I know could afford to dream about, let alone ever actually do.Tuff65 wrote:Well if they did the show in a dimmly lit, dirty, unorganized shop.I don't think many people would watch. It's about dreaming big.And wanting more....
