I haven't had much trouble navigating the Motortopia site, and they do have a bulk Photo uploader, which is quite easy to use.

I'm afraid that on my budget anymore, a new Air Filter would be a major investment, so what's there now, is what will be there for a very long time to come on my Trans Am.

Motortopia is confusing for me.....If you tried some of the others you would understand.I like the site.I just find it to be confusing.Cardomain is alot easier to use,for me.
I'm not sure why you are talking about your air filter......As far as the changes on my car. They have been paid for for a very long time as well.My Father is the BEST mechanic I know.I paid him back in 2000 to build me a 455.He is just now about finished. He has,and always will have too many irons in the fire.I do most of my own mechanicing. But my Father is FAR better than I will ever be! I always have him build my engines. He is Awesome!

Oh well, I've used Car Domain too, didn't find it any better, or worse than any other site I've used.

The Air Filter is about the biggest cost item my budget allows these days, Cams, Heads, Carburetors, Roller Rockers, etc, can get quite expensive, and these days, I can't afford those kinds of parts, and I do 90% of my own Engine work, Suspension, and Brakes.

As far as web sites go you are probably more computer smart than I am.
I do most the mechanicing on my car too! My father says I could do it all.I just lack the Self confidence.I know that somethings I would screw up.And they would end up costing me three times what they should to fix.My Dad says that's how you learn.Well I don't have tons of money either. So I pay him to do those things I'm not real sure of.

I've played around with some basic html on my Websites, and Hotrodded my own Computer, but I'm hardly a Computer Tech.

In so far as what I do know about working on Cars, my Dad was a Mechanical Engineer, I learned by watching him. Oh, and your Dad is right, if you mess up, you learn not to do, whatever it was you did wrong the first time out. Sufficeit to say, I've never had a lot of money either, so if I didn't do most things myself, they would never have gotten done at all, which is what makes me laugh at these so-called 'Car Guy' Shows on A & E, TLC, and the History Channel. I never could afford a $5,000.00 build-up of any part of my car's drivetrain, and doubt I ever will.

Yeah I like those shows. But I could never afford to do most of the stuff they do.They make $5000.00 sound like it's just pocket money. But I still learn from the shows. And I find them interesting...

Unfortunately for me, what I have learned from those Shows, is they haven't a clue what people like me can really afford. I've done a top end teardown and reassemble. I've done Clutch jobs, Brake jobs, Differential swaps, Shock and Strut R & R, Front End work, Carburetor overhauls, etc, and in a 2 bit Garage, no where near like the Operating Room clean workspaces they have on these TV programs. I even converted my 1960 Plymouth from Manual Steering and Brakes, to Power Steering and Brakes, once I located the correct parts years ago for the conversion.

Why not, and my place is hardly dimly lit, Image but it is far from the Operating Room these Shows have, all the while touting projects damn few if any of the people I know could afford to dream about, let alone ever actually do.

I bought a 1970 3-speed Coronado Gold Firebird Esprit 350 new in March, 1970, two months after the new body style came out. A great car that was not good in the snow so I traded it in. Only 2100 were made with the 350 3-speed. Sure wish I still had it.
