Episode #10022
"Decorative Floor Covering Options"
Written by Keith Fudge

In this episode of Eastwood Garage, Jerry Carafelly of U Coat It floor coverings joins us.  The topic today is decorative patterns that are now available from U Coat It floors.  As the conversation begins, Dennis once again tells Jerry that everyone knows the great advantages of a U Coat It floor:  they give a great look, and they make clean-up easy!  They also come in a variety of base coat colors that can be enhanced by U Flek, a “confetti-type” application that will give your floor a sharp looking terrazzo appearance.  U Coat It now has even more finishes that are available for its custom floors, and that is where Jerry Carafelly takes over.

First of all, Jerry reminds Dennis that in dressing up a U Coat It floor, the possibilities are literally endless!  Jerry goes on to say the company now has nine blends of U Flek as well as 30 other colors available so that the terrazzo look you want can be customized to your desire!  Jerry also reminds us just how easy the flooring system is to apply.  Simply apply the base coast and then sprinkle the U Flek particles on the floor, similar to how one would toss confetti in the air.  Then, the next day, go over the floor with U Gloss to seal and preserve the design as well as add a shiny durable finish.

Dennis then begins to quiz Jerry on some of the new finishes they have available.  One that Jerry is happy to talk about is their new Harley-Davidson Orange Fleks that simply look awesome on a black base floor.  In addition, the company can now make custom logos to put in the floor.  They can be sealed in with U Gloss as well.  Jerry said that these designs or logos are simply airbrushed onto a vinyl appliqué and are placed on the base coat and sealed in.  He also mentioned that substances such as arts and crafts glitter can be sprinkled into the base coat and sealed in if you really want to add some bling to that floor!  So, there you have it!  U Coat It has the floor that you want, and the creative possibilities are endless.
