Episode #10013
"Grills for GM cars"
Written by Keith Fudge

In this segment of Eastwood Garage , we are joined by Ashley Sangster of Classic Industries. He is going to offer some friendly advice on grilling. No, not steaks or burgers, but rather grill replacements for your vintage Camaro, Firebird, Nova, or full-sized Chevy!

First of all, we are reminded that the grill is the first line of defense your car has against debris and the elements. Bugs, rocks, birds, or anything else that might get in your way. Just remember; your grill hits it first! Given this scenario, your car may be due for a replacement, and the folks from Classic Industries can make your car look just like it rolled off the showroom floor. Ashley tells us these parts are all licensed genuine GM restoration parts. This means that they have been produced using the original GM tooling. The bottom line here is that they will fit just like the originals. At that point, we asked Ashley about some of the parts that he brought with him just to show the fine quality of these OER grills.

First, Ashley shows us the replacement for a 1969 standard Camaro. Next, Ashley moves onto a much larger piece, a grill replacement for a 1963 full-sized Chevy (BelAir, Biscayne, and Impala). This grill can be purchased with or without the headlight housings and mounting brackets, and it is made from anodized aluminum to give it a great look as well as durability. Soon, it's back to Camaros. Ashley shows us the grill for three second-generation cars: one for a 72-73 standard Camaro and one for a 72-73 Rally Sport. He also points out a grill for a 70-71 Camaro.

Next, Ashley moves on to some more grills for other GM classic cars. Dennis begins by holding the grill inserts for a 1969 Firebird. Then they go back to grills for full-sized Chevys, specifically replacements for 1963 and 1964 models. If your Nova needs a face lift, they also have what you need as Ashley points out the replacement pieces for a 1966, 1967, and 1970-72 Nova. These are all genuine GM restoration parts! Finally, it is back to the first-generation Camaro as Ashley points out the differences in the grills for a 1967, 68, and 69 Camaro. He also notes that some of these were originally made in plastic, and some were metal. At Classic Industries, whatever part you purchase will look just like it came from the factory! How can you beat a deal like that?

So, if your classic Chevy, Camaro, Firebird, or Nova needs a face life, look into the selection of genuine GM grill replacements from Classic Industries. You can find them on the web at www.classicindustries.com . By the way, don't forget when you are looking for unique automotive tools and supplies for your automobile restoration, you should give the folks at Eastwood a visit at www.eastwood.com .
