"Hemmings Motor News Top Ten Overlooked Classics"

Hemmings Motor News has announced its 12th annual top ten picks for overlooked collector cars, chosen for their potential future appreciation in the collector marketplace. This year's top ten includes:

1962-64 Austin-Healey Springs and/or Mark I MG Midgets
1968-76 BMW 2002s
1983-85 Buick Regal T-Type coupes
1951-54 DeSoto V8s
1963-66 Dodge Dart GT convertibles and hardtops
1968-70 Ford Torino GTs
1966-68 Ford Broncos
1969-71 Lincoln Continental Mk IIIs
1964-66 Pontiac Tempest 326 hardtops and convertibles
1962-67 Triumph Spitfire Mark Is and Mark Iis

Details about these cars and why Editor Dave Brownell chose them will be featured in Special Interest Autos, Hemmings collector car magazine.

For tomorrow's collectible, Dennis chose the 1989 Chrysler Maserati. Built in Italy by Chrysler, it sports unique hand sew leather interior, that famous Italian performance name and low production numbers. Do you agree with Dennis that this will make it a future collectible?

Sam's pick is the 1989 Ford Mustang 5.0. A 25th anniversary issue, and if you look close, you can see the 25 located in the emblem on the side of the car and on the steering wheel. According to Sam, this car will be sought after because it has the 5.0 liter engine, it's a convertible and they're affordable.

Dave Brownell, automotive journalist and one of the leading authorities, traditionally prepares a list of what he calls his top ten sleepers. If I were you, I'd write these down! If you'd like to review Dave Brownell's sleeper list visit myclassiccar.com.
