Beach, Biloxi, Gulf Port and D'lberville MS.
Cruisin' The Coast has received recognition
as one of the 10 biggest Classic Car shows in the country - and the biggest
from Houston to Daytona! This event, entering it's fifth year, received
the Southeast Tourism Society's award as The Festival of the Year. STS
considers events from 10 states and judges on rate of growth, how broad-based
the community support is, and economic impact.
They obviously rated well! Besides My Classic
Car, the 1999 event brought additional media attention from the Learning
Channel and their Discover America series, Southern Living Magazine and
Casino Player Magazine.
Always held during Columbus Day week, "Cruisin'"
is a nostalgic celebration of classic automobiles and music. It embraces
much more as auto enthusiasts from over 30 states and Canada make this
annual pilgrimage where they encounter an experience that goes beyond
roaring engines and shinning chrome!
Since it's inception in 1996 where three hundred
and seventy-four automobiles showed up to an incredible three thousand
and eleven in '99, this event continues to exceed all expectations. An
impressive list of sponsors includes, Coca Cola, Harley Davidson, Budweiser
and Chevrolet, to name a very few. With this kind of backing Cruisin'
The Coast may just cruise into History!
