Let's Go Screamin'!
This week come along for "THE" ride! Dennis Gage and Cameron Evans, editor of the McMullen Argus publication, Popular Hot Rodding, take a look at what's happening in the performance scene out west. And, baby, it's happenin', from 60's muscle cars to late model performance to brand new Sport Sub-compacts. This '67 Chevelle, which had an original 427 was replaced with a 502 crate engine. 500 HP and updated with a Hotchkiss suspension you have a serious "G" machine! The '99 Firebird Trans Am = "Techno TA." With Lakewood suspension, Bear brakes, 18" wheels AND Nitrous, which adds 150 HP to the rear wheels on top of the 300 already there. A Lap-top from TCI can program shift characteristics of the transmission allowing you to tweak and poke for designer performance! The brand new 2000 Ford Focus is a little screamer and a serious Import fighter! Wings West, working directly with Ford and the aftermarket had those aftermarket goodies already available when it hit the showroom floor.
