9th Annual Fun Ford Weekend

Last year we spent three action packed days at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas (just outside Dallas) at the 9th Annual Fun Ford Weekend. Almost 800 cars were in attendance, including racers and show cars.

A Swap Meet full of fine Ford stuff, a giant car show and some great drag racing make this a Ford lovers dream. Speaking of racing the action was hot and heavy all weekend long.

This event is the season finale in a series of eleven shows. Friday consists of mostly test and tune and a great car show. Saturday the 5.0 gang go into qualifying and bracket racing. The 5.0 competition is always intense and this year was no exception. Likewise, some of the toughest bracket racing we've seen was unfolding before our eyes.

If you're into the modular motors you'll love this weeks show. More than 45 modular motorcars showed up to race, one of the largest contingencies of this type of racing we've heard of anywhere. Once again the competition was fierce.

Saturday night participants enjoyed the year-end banquet. This caps off another successful series for the folks at American Auto Sports Productions. They will be running this Ford Fun Series again next year and we'd expect it be to better than ever. Tune in this weekend to get a close look at the My Classic Car TV.
