Feature Car of the Week

Jerry Tomasello's 1970 Ford Torino GT

" I wanted a Torino GT ever since I saw it as Motor Trends Car of the Year in 1970 and it only took me 35 years to get one. My Torino is very rare at the Car Shows and draws a lot of attention. Except fot the Paint I have done everything else in my garage. I recently rebuilt the engine and added a few more ponys; Bored and stroked to 468CI, Fully poerted and polished heads with large valves, roller rockers and a Lunati VooDoo Cam. Dyno results are 425 HP and 550 TQ. Compression Ratio of 9.6:1 allows me to run Pump Gas and cruise anywhere I want. I drove the car to Crusin' the Coast in Oct 2007 and was interviewed by Dennis Gage for an upcoming episode. "

Dan Ferguson's 1949 Willys-Overland Jeepster Phaeton
" All original running gear, flathead 4 cyl, 3 on the tree shifting. 34k original miles, this is an older restoration; not a show car but a nice driver. Always gets lots of smiles and waves when out cruising. The Jeepster, Jeep Station Wagon, and Jeep Pickup were designed after WWII by Brooks Stevens so as to utilize military Jeep parts and factories to produce vehicles for the civilian market. The Jeepster has been designated a Milestone Collectable Automobile for it's unique design.  "
