Vincent Mayer's 1955 Buick Special (43R) 4 Door Hardtop
"This car was cosmetically and correctly restored from a 46,000 mile original Oklahma car. It is fully documented right down to the original instruction tags for its equipment, and retains its original, unique 3 tone paint combination and deluxe upolstery appointments. 1955 was the first year for a true 4 door hardtop (with regard to the earlier Kaiser-Frazier design) and the Buick shared this body shell with Oldsmobile. The 4 door hardtop for Buick came in the Century/60 and Special/40 series only, in 1955 and was not released to the public until March of 1955 unlike the other Buick models that were released in October of 1954. There were four 3 tone paint combinations in 1955 as well. This car has a 264 nailhead V-8 and a dynaflow transmission. My Buick is believed to have been special ordered due to the fact that all references to Buick 3 tone paint schemes show that the roof should have been (carlsbad black) and the lower body (dover white) with the middle in (windsor grey metallic). My car however has the black and white flipped, perhaps because my car was not equippped with air conditioning, and the white roof kept the heat down in the driver compartment. According to all of the paint chip charts that I have seen, you could not change the application in the three tone schemes but somehow mine was, and the trim tag reflects this. My car resembles the paint scheme on the prototype 4dr hartop Special that was used in the 1955 GM autorama. Although not rare she is alot of fun to drive hope you enjoy the photos. I love ya'lls show! Vinnie"
Brad Krontz's 1930 Essex Sedan "is my fathers award winning car. This is the first car he owned and kept and restored with original parts and has won top honor awards at invitation only car shows."
Kimberly Orr's 1957 Dodge Lancer Custom Royal
"This is my gorgeous custom. She is a 1957 Lancer Custom Royal with 54' Packard Taillights (frenched), 70' Barracuda rear window, 58' Caddy front grill and bumper, designed by Richard Zocchi and painted to perfection with an incredible fadeaway by the legendary Gene Winfield. She has been chopped and lowered.
My husband and I purchased this beautiful car from Brian Setzer of the Stray Cats. I had always dreamed of owning an old car from the 50's and my dream came true. Not only with the car itself but to buy it from Brian was the icing on the cake being such a huge fan of his. She is my baby and my husband is afraid to drive her. Ha Ha. She is a dream for sure! I also sent details of the first car show of the season we attend in Leonardtown, MD on April 29, 2007. We attend more as well during the season. It would be great if you could come to this great show on the 29th. We would love to see you."
