"My 1981 Datsun 280zx 2+2. Mostly stock with a few upgrades to make it a little more friendly to drive. Updated suspension, new stereo, new tires those sorts of things. I purchased a 2+2 so that when we have kids my wife cant make me sell the car for its lack of a rear seat (some forward thinking). The coupes have the better roof line but this just has more practicality. I enjoy the rarity of an old Datsun (here in Canada they are very rare as they tend to rust and fall apart) it has been fairly well recieved at car shows and cruise nights, being the only one there. I had thought about a muscle car but they seem to be everywhere right now and I wanted something different. I originally started off building Beetles before they were "cool" knew for sure I didnt want another one of them a kind of been there done that sort of thing and this is where my search led me.
So as Dennis would say "enjoy the timeless classics" and you never know what the next "classic" will be maybe even an old Datsun."
Jim Day's 1957 Buick Caballero Estate Wagon "We've owned this car for 10 years. It took 7 years to do the body-off restoration. 425/360hp nailhead w/ TH-400 trans. Semenole Red w/ Carlsbad Black & matching Interior. Disk Brakes. 10,166 were produced. Purchased from the original owner. We love the car and enjoy driving it everywhere. This is not a trailer Queen. If you see this car on a trailer, it's either broken or stolen, please call the local law enforcement agency to report it. Buick's Rule."
Steve VanderWegen's 1969 1/2 Dodge Super Bee
"I bought my 69 ½ Super Bee in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2000. This is my dream car since high school, many years ago. It originally was a 383 automatic. It is now a 440/496 Stroker 6-pack, Keisler 5 speed with a pistol grip shifter. It has over 600 hp. It has all new transmission, rear-end, TTI headers, 3” exhaust with flowmaster mufflers, master power disc brakes front & rear, B cool aluminum radiator with (2) 12” electric fans. The mechanics were built by Kilpatrick Engine & Transmission in Waukesha, WI. To purchase the car, I sold my Harley. After spending $36,000 on the mechanics I had to sell my other Harley. I can always buy another bike, but owning a Super Bee is forever"
