Feature Car of the Week

James' 1972 Plymouth Duster

" I started saving up for a muscle car when I got my first job when I was 15. I have always had an interest in Mopars, because as far back as I can remember my dad use to drag me out into the garage with him to work on his 71 Duster. I came across my Duster when I was 18. The man I bought it off of use to race it until he blew the motor. So when I bought it, I just had to put a motor together, and convert alot of things back to how it would come from the factory. (Luckily, my father had many spare parts for his car) So it only took us about 2 years to convert a fully done up race car back to being street legal. The rear wheels are tubbed. Some extras include: A roll cage, 6 pack hood scoop, racing seats, hooker super comp headers and beefed up 340 small block. (Just to name a few things) What I love most about my car is that it looks somewhat stock, but it also has a custom look to it as well. I dont know many young people with a muscle car. So when I take it to a cruise night, I stand out just as much as the car does. That alone is just as great as driving it. "

Ron & Debbie Rafter's 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
"We have had a great time working together getting it ready for each show or cruise. Our Vet has really brought us closer together since our kid are grow and leaving the nest. Since it is only a two seater, our kids and grandkids still go to the shows, but they ride in the motor home. Our car is still all about family."
