Cory Drake's 1973 Volkswagon Beetle
" Although this car was modified in the 1990s using a Classic Motor Carriages kit body and some Porsche trim pieces, it's now a completely one-off race car. The corners all have disc brakes, the chassis is now a custom-built tubular monocoque design with a safety cage and the 1641cc VW engine has been replaced with a 2366cc, race-prepped Porsche 914 Type IV engine. The car was redesigned and rebuilt down to the last bolt by two guys in a private garage, with common tools. (We're kind of proud of it.) "
