" It's my dream car! Though it looks just like a classic 1914 Stutz Bearcat, the "Corvette" of pre-World War One America, It's actually a full scale replice made by none other than the "King of the Kustomizers" and builder of the TV batmobile, George Barris.
As a kid I watched a weekly adventure show "Bearcats!" where the heroes drove a Bearcat. I fell in love with old cars, especially early sports cars of which the Stutz was the most famous.
Well a real Bearcat is now rare and accordingly expensive, so after a nearly 30 year search I found the next best thing, the very car I saw on TV all those years ago. It took a two year restoration to bring it back to its orginal shape.
I've received photos and letters from Mr. Barris and even pictures from the personal collection of the series star, Rod Taylor.
It's a great car (all metal body, custom frame and Ford running gear) that people enjoy seeing and I love driving and showing. "
