"I purchased the car in 1998. The mileage at that time was 47,000 original miles with the original engine and transmission. It had never been painted and the interior was original and still in great shape. I rely on the car for everyday transportation and have taken many trips in it. It now has 86,000 miles and still runs and drives great."

Rich Shangreaux's 1968 Plymouth Road Runner
" I bought this car new the summer after my freshman year of college. I drove it two years and sold it in favor of a 1970 Plymouth Duster 340. Twenty-four years later I found my Road Runner parked in a quonset 160 miles from where I live. A title search revealed it had been through fifteen owners. It had been used as a drag car and the engine had been punched out .060, 12.5 to 1 pistons had been installed as well as a pretty radical cam, it also had two f! our barrels plus the 4 speed was yanked in favor of an automatic. The interior had been gutted except for the bench seat. The trunk had been cut out and the gas tank was replaced with a seven gallon fuel cell. The rear end had been stuffed with 4.88 gears and the car had been painted yellow. And by the way, it went by the name of Mr. Savage! It took me about 18 months to get the car back to the way I remembered it in 1968. I wonder what ever happened to my Duster???? "
