An
Early Amphicar?
Provided by Hemmings
This skiff-like auto is identified by its source as a "Silver
Knight," and it has an unmistakable nautical theme, but beyond that
all we know for sure is that it was created in 1915. The three chic damsels
in the car (Ladies of the Knight??) must have had to vault over the doorless
sides to be seated. We're sure, too, that they didn't buy it on sale,
and its purchase price might have required the floating of a loan. All
we'd like to really know, though, is just what this vehicle actually was.
Reader response welcomed.
